WHO AM I?

I am Amitabh Sarma, a survivor, a creator of stories, poetry in motion. People fondly call me “the traveling pundit”, I gracefully call myself the “bearded traveling soul”. Life has been nice to me, and hence I thank God for everything and share my experiences with the world.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN?

I had quit a nice high paying desk job in 2012, where I had ample opportunities to bag “much sought after” international assignments, only to be dragged down in a country that you don’t call your own. Fortunately, I have learnt the nuances of traveling from a short stint that I did as a marketing manager of a well known travel brand in eastern India. I off course moved on to start my own travel company, which by God’s Grace and much to the people who have put their trust on my “creating travel” abilities, is functioning very amicably, the commercial way.

COMMUNITY – #BEARDEDTRAVELINGSOUL

To me the community, the people are very important. A human being can acquire everything in loneliness except character. We all are part of something- a nation, a society, a family . Even a homeless man is part of the street. It would be hard to imagine a world with just water bodies, mountains and empty lands without people. That is what the very essence of bearded traveling soul is.

Bearded Traveling Soul has always been a hopeless tourist. It is of late that he has managed to take some good, passable pictures, thanks to his latest android phone. He has never used a DSLR camera in his life. Sometimes he wonders if people think he is bragging, when bearded traveling soul looks back and tells people of his travel stories. Bearded Traveling Soul has no photographs to back a lot of his trysts with destinations.

Bearded Traveling Soul – THE CONNECT

Some traveling can never end. It might have a start day and an end day, but travel never actually ends. I have always managed to keep my soul alive through the places that I have been too.

Although sometimes it seems strange that my choices in life have always been different, at least it does not start the way it shapes. Travel has always been a passion and it was sheer luck that made it as a profession for me. Yes and I could not be happier with my choice. I hate to follow set patterns in life, somehow it never appeals to me. I like to make a mess and then find a way to fix it. This website is dedicated to all those people who are not sure they are living the life they really want to, and think that it’s too late to change. Too late to learn a new skill or to follow their dreams.
